Aerial photo is taken at CSCEC's lakeside design headquarters located at the bank of Xinglong Lake in Chengdu. The building is the first"near zero carbon building"in Chengdu, with more than 8000 square meters of roof gardens,87%of functional rooms can meet the natural lighting standards, and the facade is covered with green plants.Through the adoption of low carbon building technology, the average annual energy consumption of the building is reduced to 40-80 kWh/m2 compared with the standard of 120 kWh/m2 for ordinary office buildings in Chengdu, and the annual carbon emission is reduced by about 1027 tons.It is understood that"near zero carbon buildings"refer to buildings that can minimize the energy demand of buildings by adapting to climate characteristics and site conditions and through passive building design. In the process of operation, the buildings are fully electrified and do not use gas,so the carbon emission of buildings is at a low level.
